Fate Plays a Role

Spike

Spike

An eight-week-old kitten with severe upper respiratory symptoms was abandoned at the entrance of South Willow Animal Hospital. Our team responded immediately with two actions. First, we agreed to adopt him and try to bring him back to good health. Second, we named him Spike! This wild eyed kitten rebounded very fast and as we expected, stole the hearts of everyone in the clinic.

As fate would have it, shortly after Spike’s full recovery, one of our best clients came in to make the hardest decision of their life. It was time to put their cat to sleep. Somehow, Spike made his presence known and quickly stole the hearts of these wonderful people. They immediately adopted Spike.

Spike will always hold a special place in all our hearts, especially the hearts of the technicians who took him home at night and gave their time and energy to make him better.
