Meet The Staff
The South Willow Animal Hospital staff is dedicated to the health and well being of your pet. Here you will find a team of dedicated, experienced professionals who have the training and the special “human-to-animal” bond that drew them to this profession.
If you are already familiar with our practice, you’ve witnessed this during each and every visit. If you are new to the community or are looking for a new practice, we encourage you to contact the hospital to arrange a tour of the facility as a way of getting to know us. In the meantime, take a minute and get to know the members of our staff.
“I am very happy with the care given. The staff is always very sweet and helpful.”
- Kelly D.
Dr. Melissa Sargent
Dr. Sargent joined South Willow Animal Hospital as our Medical Director in 2008. She earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University and has been in practice for nine years. Her interests include internal medicine and dentistry. Dr. Sargent has three girls who all are active dancers. Her husband owns and runs 2 separate farms in their hometown. She has one dog, Max, who is a seven-year-old chow lab mix currently out on loan to a friend. Max helped out by befriending a friend’s mother who had a stroke. Max has helped her with daily activities and her rehabilitation. If the day comes that Max is no longer needed, he may return home to his three girls, but until then, he lives with friends and is a great support dog.
Dr. Robert Wilson
In practice for 25 years, Dr. Wilson earned his DVM degree at The Ohio State University and joined the South Willow Animal Hospital in 1997. He has a special interest in surgical procedures as well as the care of birds and exotics.
Tracy Bond
Tracy Bond brings a nursing background – and a soft spot for Golden Retrievers – to her position as practice manager at South Willow Animal Hospital. She joined the practice in 2001.
